Uttarakhand News: Chief Electoral Officer Dr. B.V.R.C. in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Purushottam held a video conference with the District Magistrates of all the districts on Wednesday and conducted a detailed review regarding the notices and hearings issued to voters in the second phase of the special intensive revision campaign. In the meeting, the Chief Electoral Officer took detailed information about the action plan made for hearing the notices of all the districts.
The Chief Electoral Officer, while directing the officers, said that it should be ensured that the voters to whom notices are to be issued, receive the notices in time and are given adequate time for hearing. The Chief Electoral Officer also directed all the District Magistrates to nominate nodal officers from related departments including education, revenue, tehsil for document verification to assist EROs and AEROs. The Chief Electoral Officer instructed all the District Magistrates to conduct field visits to the assembly constituencies and review them regularly.
During the meeting, it was informed that 100% notices have been printed in all the districts and sent to ERO and BLO level. Apart from this, the hearing work has also started. Additional Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Vijay Kumar Jogdande, Joint, Deputy Chief Electoral Officer Kishan Singh Negi, Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Mastu Das and District Magistrates of all the districts were present in the meeting.
